In the 1970’s, the UTEC site was still a Minneapolis Public Schools high school. Built in 1924, Marshall High School became known as Marshall-University High School in the 1960s and 70s

The emphasis was on the obvious connection with the close-by University of Minnesota. Our College Prep Circle hopes to recreate the connection with the university and other higher education institutions. The program will feature courses on college campuses as well as at UTEC.
